Remington Central Spool

This is the ring spool for use on Remington typewriters (Like the Noiseless and all later Mid-sized Portables) and Remington-Made Underwood Typewriters. This is not compatible with any other typewriter, and is not necessary for use on any typewriter. A grommeted or knotted ribbon can fit within the post of the Remington/Rem-underwood shaft and operate just fine without the ring. Alternatively, it is a ringsize of about 9.5-10 and can be worn on the finger. Not sure why you’d wanna do that, but I’ve done it! A bit scratchy to be honest. Not the most interesting fashion statement either, it’s a little…eccentric. But hey, you’re using a typewriter in 2021, so it’s not that far fetched.
