Royal Standard Ribbon Spools

These spools are Royal Proprietary only for use on upright desktop models from the 1914 Royal 10 onward.

They ARE NOT for use on the pre 1914 Royal Flatbeds (See smith corona) and NOT for any portable typewriters. They will behave like spoiled unfriendly children.

I can see now, the error in my analogy. Since children always behave in such a manner. That is to say these spools, when used on the wrong machine, will take your creative process, chemically burn and kill it, then dissolve its body in a tub of acid before flushing it’s liquid remains down the toilet. So don’t use them for their nonintended purpose please.
